Process Automation Technician in a Coffee Factory

As a Process Automation Technician, you will take ownership of your assigned area, ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of production equipment, with a focus on electrical and control systems.

As a Process Automation Technician, you will:

• Collaborate closely with your team to minimize unplanned downtime of production equipment.
• Maximize efficiency of complex production systems by leveraging and sharing your technical knowledge and expertise within and beyond the Technical Department (TD).
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and ensure compliance with maintenance protocols.
• Support production operators in performing first-line maintenance tasks.
• Transfer knowledge about assigned systems and installations to colleagues within the TD, ensuring continuous improvement and shared expertise.
• This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance while focusing on preventing recurring issues and optimizing equipment reliability.

You will join the Automation team, consisting of seven Technicians and a Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will report directly to the Team Lead Automation Engineer and work in a supportive, innovative environment where collaboration drives success.

What We Seek

As a person, you have extensive technical knowledge and expertise, which you share with your team. You determine the approach to tasks within projects, can clearly see the end goal, and know how to set priorities accordingly.

 More requirements for this position:

• You hold a qualification or diploma in a technical field as millwright or similar, and you’re eager to learn new things.
• You have experience in industrial automation (PLC’s, SCADA, VSD’S).
• You have several years of experience in a technical role.
• You are fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• You are willing to relocate to the Netherlands and learn Dutch.
• You have a valid driver’s license.
