Mechatronics Technician in a Tea Factory

As a Mechatronics Technician, you are essential in ensuring the technical availability and optimal performance of production equipment. By working closely with a dedicated team, you will play a vital role in minimizing unplanned downtime and reducing associated costs.

As a Mechatronics Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the technical availability of production equipment at the desired performance level through swift and precise execution of corrective maintenance.
• Performing preventive and curative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic production systems, ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols.
• Collaborating within the Technical Department (TD) and across teams to maximize the efficiency of complex production systems by applying your technical expertise.
• Coaching production operators in performing first-line maintenance activities and ensuring proper knowledge transfer.
• Sharing knowledge of dedicated systems and installations with colleagues within the Technical Department.

This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance while focusing on preventing recurring issues and optimizing equipment reliability.

What We Seek

As a person, you have extensive technical knowledge and expertise, which you share with your team. You determine the approach to tasks within projects, can clearly see the end goal, and know how to set priorities accordingly.

 More requirements for this position:

• You hold a qualification or diploma in a technical field as millwright or similar, and you’re eager to learn new things.
• You have several years of experience in a technical role.
• You are fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• You are willing to relocate to the Netherlands and learn Dutch.
• You have a valid driver’s license.
