Mechatronics Technician in a Coffee Factory

As a Mechatronics Technician, you are essential in ensuring the technical availability and optimal performance of production equipment. By working closely with a dedicated team, you will play a vital role in minimizing unplanned downtime and reducing associated costs.

As a Mechatronics Technician, you will be responsible for:

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the technical availability of production equipment by swiftly and accurately performing corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Minimize unplanned downtime and associated costs through efficient maintenance practices.
• Work closely with team members within and beyond the Technical Department (TD) to maximize the efficiency of complex production systems by applying your technical knowledge and skills.
• Perform preventive and curative maintenance, adhering to maintenance protocols to maintain the reliability and mechanical availability of production systems.
• Coach and guide production operators in executing first-line maintenance tasks.
• Ensure effective knowledge transfer within the TD by sharing expertise about specific systems and installations with colleagues.
• Work in a 5-shift system.

This position focuses not only on immediate problem-solving but also on addressing root causes and driving continuous improvement in system performance.

What We Seek

As a person, you have extensive technical knowledge and expertise, which you share with your team. You determine the approach to tasks within projects, can clearly see the end goal, and know how to set priorities accordingly.

 More requirements for this position:

• You hold a qualification or diploma in a technical field as millwright or similar, and you’re eager to learn new things.
• You have several years of experience in a technical role.
• You are fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• You are willing to relocate to the Netherlands and learn Dutch.
• You have a valid driver’s license.
