Maintenance Technician Paper Industry
As an Allround Mechanic M in the technical department, you are an indispensable link for the continuity and safety of our production process. With your efforts, you ensure that the machines continue to perform optimally.
Your most important tasks and responsibilities are:
- Preventive maintenance – Performing periodic inspections of machines, assessing the operation of systems, evaluating the maintenance status, identifying unsafe situations, and taking corrective actions if necessary.
- Troubleshooting – Locating and resolving mechanical and measurement and control malfunctions based on received reports. Determining the causes of malfunctions and taking corrective action.
- Carrying out repairs – Carrying out necessary repairs to machines and equipment to ensure the continuity of production.
- Installation and modification – Preparing and carrying out installation work and modifications to production equipment and installations in the mechanical and measurement and control field.
- Enforcement of company regulations – Supervising and ensuring compliance with regulations regarding Safety, 5S, ARBO, Environment, ISO, Hygiene and Cleanliness, with corrective action if necessary to promote compliance.
- Commissioning and instruction – Commissioning and testing new production equipment and installations, and providing operating instructions to production employees to ensure correct operation.
- Improvement proposals – Actively contributing to team consultation by making proposals for improving the functioning of assigned machines and processes.
- Administration – Maintaining and updating drawings and diagrams, accounting for time spent and material use, and ensuring up-to-date documentation and instrument index.
- Personnel guidance – Providing technical instructions and directions to junior fitters and external fitters, and supervising the correct execution of tasks in accordance with regulations.
What We Seek
You bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or processing environment in a similar role. With your comprehensive knowledge of faultfinding and maintenance, you’ll help enhance the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and optimization of advanced installations.
To excel in this role, you possess:
- You hold a qualification or diploma in a technical field as millwright or similar, and you’re eager to learn new things.
- You are a great problem solver.
- You are willing to work in a 2-shift system and stand-by.
- You are fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- You are willing to relocate to the Netherlands and learn Dutch.
